Ingredients:
Fish - 1 kg
(I have used Bangda fish. you can add catla or any other type of fish also instead of this)
For masala paste:
poppy seeds - 2 spoons,
cinnamon and cloves - 1 spoon,
coconut -1 cup,
Onions - 3 medium,

khara pudi( sambar powder)-2 to 3 spoons
Tomato-1-2 medium
Ginger garlic paste-1 spoon
Tamarind- 1 small boul
Salt for taste
1. Clean the fish and drain them.Add turmeric and salt to the fish and keep aside.
2. Take above-mentioned masala items and fry them in oil for some time till it loses its raw smell.
3. Grind them well
4. Soak tamarind and squeeze to take out the juice.
5. Take a vessel and heat it. Add oil, curry leaves,1 more sliced onion and fry.

Method:
2. Take above-mentioned masala items and fry them in oil for some time till it loses its raw smell.
3. Grind them well
4. Soak tamarind and squeeze to take out the juice.
5. Take a vessel and heat it. Add oil, curry leaves,1 more sliced onion and fry.
Then add grounded masala, and fry
6. Add tamarind juice, salt and let it cook till it reaches boiling point.
7. Once sambar starts boiling, add cleaned fish pieces and boil for 10-15 min.
Note: Once you add the fish into the masala dont stir it and mix it often. Since fish is very delicate, it will break into small pieces. Fish also cooks very faster. so dont cook more than 15 to 20 min
8. Now Fish sambar is ready to eat. Serve this with Ragi balls and Rice. This goes well even with roti's or Dosa also. Eat with any of your favourite combo and enjoy..!!
