Poha Upma(Avalakki uppittu) is a south Indian breakfast item and if you want quick recipes in your morning busy schedule, then definitely this is a must item. Except adding tadka/tempering there is no much complex preparation process here.

Ingredients:

Poha- 2 cups
Onion-1 1/2
Tomato -1-2
Green chilli-3 to 4

Turmeric- 1 teaspoon
Salt- for taste
You can add mix veggies and green peas if you have
For tempering:

Mustard seeds- 1 tea spoon
Oil-2-3 tbl spoon
Curry leaves- 2-3 strands
Chenna dal/ Urad dal /Groundnuts- 1 small cup
Coriander leaves- 1 small cup

Method:

1) Wash poha in water and drain it and keep aside(poha will have dust in it, so wash thoroughly and drain. I used vessel with holes/stainless steel drainer boul here).

2) take a vessel and add mustard seeds and allow it to pop.

3)Add oil, chenna dal, urad dal, and fry for some time (I will fry groundnut and add it usually at the end so that it holds the crispiness).

4) add sliced onions and green chili and fry till the onion becomes translucent.

5) add tomato and fry it

6) add turmeric powder and salt for taste.

7) At last add poha, coriander leaves, and mix well.

8) Now poha upma/avalakki uppittu is ready to eat

Chicken Kabab recipe | how to prepare chicken kebab | Easy chicken recipes

Simple recipe of Chicken kabab:

Chicken kabab is one of my favorite snack which is tasty and soft and delicious. Once you marinate it with yogurt it will soft and also has a nice masala coating on it. and this is one among my weekend cooking list item and if you are planning to prepare non veg dishes for the guests visiting, this can be prepared quickly.

Ingredients:

Chicken- 500 grams
Ginger garlic paste-1 spoon
Curd- 2-3 tbl spoon

Powders:
Garam masala powder-2 spoons
Red chilli powder- 1 or 2 spoons
Coriander powder
Turmeric powder-1 spoon

Egg-1(optional)

Salt to taste
Oil - to deep fry

Marination time:3 hours(if you have less time, you can marinate it for short time and add egg to it, so that masala sticks to pieces properly)

Preperation time: 30 min

Method:

1) Clean the chicken and drain the water completely(while cleaning chicken itself i usually add little turmeric to the water, so that it doesnt smell badly)

2) Add all the above mentioned items like garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curd, ginger garlic paste, egg, and salt to chicken and marinate it from 30 min to  3 to 4 hours.
(Egg gives thickness and holds the coat around chicken. just make sure that you dont add correct quantity of egg to match your consistency)

3) Adding curd to the chicken will make the kabab soft

4) In a kadai add oil and heat it.

5) once oil starts boiling, add chicken pieces and fry till it becomes golden brown color.
(since we are going to deep fry the chicken pieces here so will need little more oil here. to overcome this and also to  consume less oil here, take a small deep kadai and add little oil and fry oil in it.)

6) Remove it from oil and drain it on a tissue paper.

Serve the hot kabab along with sliced onion, lemon slices.
